The Swimming Lesson. Szekeres

This I did as an Amalgam piece to show the difference between my character design of Tilaweed (from the original ElfQuest WaveDancers) against the character design of Ariel (Disney's The Little Mermaid). This is the pencil sketch where I explored the idea of it without containing it to the paper size. I had to attach more paper to finish the sketch, but I was unconcerned about that for it was a working sketch, and the sketch had to work for me, not me for the sketch.

I could just have them beside one another, but I thought it would be nicer if they were interacting. So I thought that a swimming lesson would be a great way to show them together. Tilaweed comes across as more mature then Ariel, so Tilaweed became the the teacher in this lesson. There has been some incorrect labeling of this art where some Ariel/Disney fans have thought that Tilaweed is Ariel's mother. Just to make it clear...she is not.

PSS, Here are illegal and counterfeit usages of my artwork. My artwork has been taken from my deviantart gallery page, my signature removed and the artwork "doctored", and then used without my permission, without a contract of usage, or payments to me. Not only that. The BlackMermaidProductions (BMP) owned character "Tilaweed" (from Elf-Fin, and previously in 1993-4 from WaveDancers) is being used without permission or payment to BMP. That's is of course besides the fact that the Disney owned Intellectual Property of Ariel is being used in the same illegal way.
