Nova and Pearl.Pulp.Szekeres

Nova and Pearl, the dancing girls who give each other a lovely lesbian kiss at the end of their dance. This was for a commercial that I did in 1998 called Finlandia Vodka Pulp. It was a 45 second 2D animated commercial that got Theater and tv airing. It took 4 months to create, and it won international awards.

I did the original pitch that got the job, then the character designs, storyboards, animation, inbetweens of all hands and heads, Animation Direction, and Musical Direction.

When I showed this animation to some of the Disney feature animators when I visited in Florida, they asked me if I'd used live action reference for the dancing, and I had not. They were mightily impressed, and I was feeling high for the rest of the day.

This is very "ME", and was my baby.
